Synopsis

A superior sequel and a swell activity film in its own right
JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 is a great add-on to the action thriller genre and a superior sequel to the original flick, which in itself was a very skillful film. This i has a blistering opening activity sequence, and then a relatively tiresome outset hour which builds the story but keeps you interested. In the second hour, this turns into an extraordinary action picture, full of breakneck fight and kill sequences, with literally hundreds of bad guys getting constantly shot by our hero.
The motion picture has the aforementioned kind of fluid choreography as the first movie, indebted to THE RAID and very nearly equally skilful. Reeves proves to exist an expert in terms of weapon skill and physicality, and if the supporting human activity are little more than caricatures, then that doesn't actually thing. The scene in which Wick has a hit called out on him and is assailed past numerous assassins, utilising weapons such as a pencil to survive, is 1 of my favourite scenes in Hollywood in the last year or and so, and as such I tin't recommend this film highly enough.

Gun Fu is loads of fun and the addition of Pencil Fu is glorious. What makes the original bang-up is the uncomplicated, powerful, and poetic motivation of John Wick. The sequel could not perhaps repeat that. They can't kill off another dog. This one delivers what it could. Keanu Reeves remains the aforementioned and there is more fighting. The plot is almost meaningless. It is all action and all Wick.

John Wick Kills A Lot Of People
If you've seen the first John Wick movie, yous know that Keanu Reeves is John Wick, a retired assassin who comes out of retirement when someone kills his dog. In this 1, which begins a week later, matters are still reverberating, and some ane has stolen his car, which calls for a lot of carnage. That settled, John is called on to pay off an old debt past helping Ian McShane take over the Assassin's Social club by flying around to Italia, Canada and Manhattan and killing what seems like hundreds of assassins.
Ho hum. People who know far more near mixed martial arts than I would ever intendance to tell me the fight sequences are well done; certainly with all the punching and kicking and stabbing and shooting, Reeves does non come up out unscathed. His face is scratched, although his dress remain spotless. The only sequence noteworthy to me is a series of paw-to-hand fights in a hall of mirrors, which vaguely recalls THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI. There are as well references in dialogue and composition, to the Matrix trilogy; Laurence Fishburne shows up to make the point.
Equally with and then many movies these days, this is a movie you'll like if you like movies similar this. Which isn't maxim much, is it?
